Republic of Korea Air Force | KF-16 Maintenance
08/2019 - 05/2021
Served as a Corporal in the Republic of Korea Air Force, overseeing the maintenance and operational readiness of KF-16 tactical fighters and related facilities to support critical mission objectives.
•
Acquired expertise in conducting facility inspections and managing aircraft parts inventory, ensuring operational efficiency and readiness.
•
Led and coordinated a team of 10+ personnel in performing maintenance tasks while ensuring a safe working environment.
•
Enforced safety protocols and compliance with regulations, enhancing risk management and promoting a culture of safety within the unit.

EXTRA ACTIVITY
University of Birmingham Bear Challenge | Tier 2 Baskerville Python-based Competition
Participated in a hands-on competition leveraging the Baskerville Tier 2 High-Performance Computing (HPC) system to tackle tasks involving GPUs, deep learning, and advanced HPC systems.
•
Designed and implemented optimization strategies for large-scale matrix multiplication tasks, using advanced HPC techniques with multi-core CPUs and GPUs.
•
Extracted and visualized weather data from the US NOAA website using Python, creating scatter plots with enhanced performance on the EPSRC Tier 2 Baskerville supercomputer.
•
Despite not placing in the rankings, valuable experience was gained in data-driven analysis and deep learning using HPC.
